Erin Butikofer

Erin Butikofer is pursuing a BS in Wildlife Ecology & Management at Utah State University. Her research interests include land and resource use by humans and animals and the conditions for conservation of both the landscape and habitats. In Chile, she focused on the relationship owners have with their cats and, using animal-borne video cameras, the effects that cats have on the environment.

Erin worked with Dr. Jaime Jiménez in the U.S. and with Dr. Elke Schüttler in Chile.

Erin presented her research at:

The 2019 Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research at Weber State University in Odgen, UT in February. Her presentation was titled, "The Cat Owner Relationship on Navarino Island," and was co-authored by Jaime Jiménez and Elke Schüttler.

In the Fall, Erin will present:

"The Cat-Owner Relationship and Its Effects on the Ecosystem of Navarino Island, Chile," at the 2019 American Fisheries Society & The Wildlife Society Joint Conference in Reno, NV. This presentation is also co-authored by Jaime Jiménez and Elke Schüttler.
