Alexandria Poole is an environmental philosopher specializing in interdisciplinary collaborations with ecologists, anthropologists, geographers, and the humanities regarding urban sustainability issues. Using a multi-scalar approach that addresses local, regional and global interrelations, Alexandria applies a "biocultural methodology" that integrates biological and cultural diversity in research analysis. She participates in the Urban Sustainability RCN through her role as research assistant for the Sub-Antarctic Biocultural Conservation Program, which focuses on the conservation of biological and cultural diversity. She is also Associate Managing Editor of Environmental Ethics, the premier journal in the field of environmental philosophy.
